A Weekend Of Olympic Proportions

Here are some photos from our Saturday spent downtown. I'll try and get some other pictures from my friend of the gold medal game on Sunday.

Holland Heineken House in Richmond. 2hr line up to get in. No thanks.

Downtown! Huge flag

Hudson's Bay Company ads

View of downtown by Broadway street

We met Jaques Lemaire! He is the coach for the New Jersey Devils and is one Team Canada's assistant coaches. He was just sitting down on bench by GM Place. Jeff of course noticed him.

Athletes village across False Creek

Totem pole by the Native Pavillion

Native Pavilion final look

Inukshuks along False Creek near Science World

The cauldron

sorry about the poor focus

view of the rings and the lovely coastal mountains

We watched men's curling in a bar and a guy who ran the torch in Richmond let us hold it.

Josh Beukema and myself getting photos with Vancouver Sheriffs. So touristy!

View of Granville street on Saturday night. Sunday afternoon was way more packed!

  1. Para Olympics start on Fri. Pretty big hype about them too.
